Preventative Dental Care

Keeping the teeth and the gums healthy are paramount to good dental health. A thorough dental check-up and professional clean every 6 months, twice a year, helps to reduce the risk of tooth decay and gum disease through helping to identify problems early. X-rays every 2-3 years helps to also identify issues that may not be recognizable from just looking at your teeth.

Restorative Dental Care

At Carina Gardens Dental we use tooth-coloured filling material during our treatments. This material is made of a plastic material mixed with small glass particles and is suitable for repairing cavities in teeth and providing teeth with a natural looking appearance. We use only the highest quality of material to ensure our patients are receiving high quality treatment.

Crown and Bridge

Crowns are hardwearing caps over the teeth which are used to restore a tooth to the correct shape and completely cover and protect the natural tooth below. This type of treatment is often needed when a tooth is crumbling and breaking down or when there is a lot of missing tooth structure.

We like to crown teeth that have undergone root canal therapy as often after root canal therapy, a tooth becomes very weak and crown provides the tooth with a protective covering to help prevent this weakened tooth structure from breaking down. Crowns can be fabricated from a metal or tooth coloured material.

Cosmetic Dentistry

At Carina Gardens Dental, we know that your smile is important to you and is for this reason that we place a high emphasis on providing you with high quality cosmetic dentistry. Whether it be veneers to help treat worn, chipped, mal-aligned, oddly-shaped or rotated teeth, or whitening to achieve that perfect bright smile, we are able to discussed various cosmetic options with you.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is completed for a number of reasons and involves removal of the nerve inside the root of the tooth and replacement of the nerve space with a filling material. It is often completed when there has been irreparable damage of the nerve inside the tooth, often when decay and bacteria has reached the nerve and caused damage or when the tooth has undergone trauma, often causing a lot of pain. This type of treatment will help to reduce and remove the pain and save the root structure of the tooth.

Dentures

At Carina Gardens Dental, we are able to provide our patients with Partial or Full Dentures. Partial dentures are used for replacement of one or more missing teeth. Full dentures are used to replace teeth when all teeth are missing from the top or bottom jaw. Though not the most natural replacement of missing teeth, this method can be quite efficient and cost effective way of replacing teeth.
